How to recover access to your Google Account
If you are signed in to YouTube, the video may show in your YouTube history.
- Google has a page for accounts that cannot be recovered: when recovery fails.

Close it for good
- Google's Privacy Inquiry form can be opened without logging in. Google says it "is not intended to address account recovery or questions about potentially compromised accounts". It has a 750 character limit, so a full letter will not fit. (Source: Google privacy forms. Checked 25 October 2026.)

Download your data first

If the person has died
