Safety check
Before you start, let's check that you are safe.
In danger right now? Call 999.
Use 101 when it is not an emergency. (Source: GOV.UK. Checked 25 October 2026.)
If someone is controlling your phone, your accounts or your money, you are not alone.

The Quick exit button
The Quick exit button at the top takes you off this site straight away. It stops the Listen voice too. You can also press the Esc key.
Hiding your visit
Women's Aid says an exit button hides the page, but you still need to delete your browsing history.
- Private browsing stores nothing about your visit on your device in that window. In Chrome, choose "New Incognito Window". In Edge, choose "New InPrivate Window".
- Delete your browsing history when you finish. Your search engine may keep its own record of your searches too.
- These steps "may not completely hide your tracks". The safest place to look things up is a device the other person cannot check, for example at a library, a friend's house or work.
